The Regency Hotel, Solihull

Stayed here as we were attending a wedding and we were flying from Birmingham airport the day after. The hotel is located about 15 minutes from the airport so it's a perfect distance if you want somewhere comfortable to stay and you have a flight to catch. The rooms were suitable, clean and well put together. The hotel is a little old so the room and grounds reflected that. We had a great stay here and would definitely stay again the night before a flight.

Absolutely wonderful stay. The receptionist right from the minute I walked thru the door was so welcoming and helpful! The bed was really comfy! Couldn't fault my stay at all it was just lovely.

Fantastically good value with an option of adding a cooked buffet breakfast! Quiet rooms plenty of parking lovely staff. Well located for the Birmingham NEC as it's only 14 minutes drive away.

I was impressed with the quality of my families meals when they arrived. Excellent service. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed for 1 night, check in excellent and smooth, given a room on the 1st floor, bit of a walk to the rear of the property, room had everything for a 1 night stay, the room was clean, beds a bit soft for myself, only poor points, windows seals broken, at the rear a dumping ground for broken items and a yard with rear security lights, even with the blind down still light enters the room, did not eat or drink disorder cannot comment, but on returning at night the bar was very busy, so why probably given a room at the rear.

Staff were excellent and helpful rooms need upgrading but the hotel itself was going through refurbishment when I stayed easy parking but do not forget to post your car reg and how long you are leaving it or you will get a parking ticket in the post. Food was very good both breakfast and evening meal

Went for an afternoon tea that was a booked club outting. The room was well laid out with about 8 large tables, all set for the tea. Tea and coffee were served by very friendly and helpful staff. The afternoon tea had fresh sandwiches, warm scones with jam & cream, and a selection of cakes. The whole afternoon was lovely, and the staff worked hard, ensuring the tea and coffee were kept flowing and they efficiently cleared the tables. I would definitely recommend The Regency for booking functions as the service and function room were brilliant.

This hotel with its attractive frontage, pleasant restaurant, bar and coffee shop must be great for families and gatherings. It is a 20 minute walk from Cranmore Park that I attended with my friend. The room was nicely styled with a standard double bed (fairly soft but comfortable), and shower room with it's fantastic shower were very clean. Ironing and other facilities are in the room. The television was good too, although we weren't sure how to access the smart apps and features. I was pleased to discover parking was free at weekends and affordable on weekdays. Staff were friendly and efficient but not very welcoming, which is why I can't award 5 stars.
